I saw Mrs. Shaiman speak today and I was amazed. I felt like she has inspired me to change my life. What she said about flaunting your humanity is so true, except that sometimes it is difficult to find a way to actually do it- to work in a community with purpose, and not spend time volunteering here and there, but actually write a plan and purpose. I plan on doing this after this incredible speaking engagement.

THANKS!!!!!

I am a member of a large , loving, and giving Italian family. We still holdfast to some great traditions passed down through the generations for example, we have dinner together every Sunday at Gram's house. These Sundays together have proven to keep us grounded and realize how blessed we all are . Many great community service ideas have been sparked during our weekly gatherings , from walks for different organizations, delivering meals to the elderly and lonely on holidays or knitting blankets for babies in the neonatal unit. It is also not a surprise to have a sister, brother, neice, or nephew bring a friend or someone who is down and out to join us at our table for a wonderful Italian meal , friendship and laughter. I believe we can all do our part big or small on a daily basis to make a difference even if it is only in one person's life. So invite family and friends over for dinner !!!!

I'm not that great at talking about my own legacy so I'll tell you about a woman I know. She works for a food salvage organization, an organization that picks up food from stores, restaurants and other sites that might have good, not expired food that they don't want to sell at their establishment for various reasons. With little support, mostly volunteer, she runs this organization basically on her own. She works day and night, up until all hours after all these types of businesses are closed working the Boston streets picking up food. Then during the day she operates a food pantry/soup kitchen operation to distribute the food. She literally works 7 days a week 12-16 hours a day and yet smiles the whole way through--her whole aura exudes goodness. She feeds thousands daily. This is truly an inspirational unselfish person living her legacy.

This may be of interest to us to have you do a workshop for our clients. I'd like more information on your workshops, cost, location, outline process...more than what is on the website. Thanks
